Rosalie May Henry

Rosalie May Henry of Aberdeen died Jan. 28 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace. She was 96. Born in Wever, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Willian and Cora Rogers Sweeney. Mrs. Henry moved from Iowa to Lincoln, Mo., where she finished school then moved to Maryland in 1944, where her husband, the late Kenneth M. Henry, was drafted and sent to Aberdeen Proving Ground. She was a dental and nurse's assistant at APG and Perry Point and retired from APG. Her family said, she enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, embroidery, crocheting and vacationing in Lakeland, Fla., for 17 years, spending six months of the year there. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace since 1945. She is survived by a daughter, Virginia Jacobs and her husband, Charles, of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Charles Jacobs Jr. and his wife, Eve, of Havre de Grace, Kenneth Jacobs and his wife, Barbara, of Aberdeen, and Catherine Hall and her husband, Jim, of Havre de Grace; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Jacobs, David Jacobs and Kelsey McRoberts, all of Havre de Grace, and Jennifer Jacobs, of Aberdeen. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four siblings, Mildred Carpenter, and Millard, Edgar and George Sweeney. Pallbearers will be Charles Jacobs Jr., Kenneth Jacobs, James Hall, David Jacobs, Andrew Jacobs and Randy McRoberts. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 2 with services following at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Havre de Grace. Pastor Ron Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens in Aldino. Memorial contributions may be made to first Baptist Church, 120 S. Stokes St., Havre de Grace, Md. 21078 or a charity of ones choice.
