Elizabeth Davies Silver

Elizabeth "Lib" Davies Silver age 83 years old of Havre de Grace, MD went to be with her Lord on March 17, 2008. Died at Harford Memorial Hospital of respiratory problems. Elizabeth was born on August 11, 1924 on Montesurado Farm near Havre de Grace, MD. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin Stump Silver, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Gordon Silver. She attended school in Havre de Grace and graduated from Havre de Grace High School. She married Charles Anthony Brown in March 1950 and lived in Alaska and Germany. They had one son, Hope Anthony Brown born at Fort Richardson, Anchorage, AK. She divorced her husband in June 1991. Elizabeth worked at Carroll's Laundry in Havre de Grace years ago for a short time, Danaker Clock Factory, Perry Point laundry in the office, Mail and Record at Aberdeen Proving Ground and Harford Memorial Hospital for seventeen years. In her early years she sang in the Choir at Webster Congregational Church and was named a Harford County Living Treasure in 2003. She loved her church and the people she worked with. Survivors include a son Hope Anthony Brown of Seattle, WA, a brother Col. (Ret.) Benjamin S. Silver of Gatesville, TX, a sister Ruth Silver Walker of Havre de Grace, a nephew Benjamin Scott Walker, Sr. and his wife Becky, a great nephew Benjamin Scott Walker, Jr. and a great niece Katie Breanna Walker all living in Lusk, Wyoming. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 27 from 6-8pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on March 28 at 10am at Deer Creek Harmony Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Deer Creek Harmony Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur D. Coates, Jr., Randolph S. Coates, Stephen T. Coates, George W. Bobberts, Frank V. Silver, and Walter Blocker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Col. (Ret.) Benjamin S. Silver, Norman K.
