Obituary

Relatives said he fought a courageous fight against cancer. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by his sons, Jimmy Lynn Dills, of Dalton, Ga., Terry Lee Dills and Rockie Lane Dills, both of Georgia, and James Dills, of Aberdeen; daughters, Katie Marie Dills, of Havre de Grace, Ann Dills, of Georgia, Melissa Souza, of Seaside, Calif., and Rebecca Shatley, of Newark, Del.; 14 grandchildren; and brothers, Thurman Lee Dills, of Santa Ana, Calif., and Charles Dills and Billy Joe Dills, both of Blue Ridge, Ga. Services were May 6 at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon May 9 with a funeral service to follow at noon, at Akins Funeral Home in Blue Ridge, Ga.
