Obituary
Gwendolyn E. Reed passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at her home in Aberdeen. She had just celebrated her 80th birthday,
Born in Spartanburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Graham B. and Oz G. (Jenkins) Humphries.
A born again believer who loved her family, Mrs. Reed was a hotel manager for the former Knight’s Inn located in Aberdeen. In her spare time she enjoyed listening to music, arts and crafts, reading, trips the library, cooking and teaching the children in her Sunday School Classes.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Harold E. Reed; sons, Russell Reed of Aberdeen, Michael Reed of North East and Harold Reed, Jr. of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Jacob, Amanda and Brooke; great grandchildren, Noah and Cameron and her brother Wallace Humphries of Albemarle, NC.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 from 10-11am at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Interment will be at Angel Hill Cemetery.
