Isabel Harlan Livezey

Isabel H. Livezey, of Aberdeen, widow of the late Henry Kenneth Livezey, who died in 1992, passed away at her residence in the Chapel Manor Apartments on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2008. She was 98 years old, having been born Isabel Grant Harlan near Port Deposit, Cecil County, on July 5, 1910, a daughter of the late Norville Clifford and Bertha Tarring (Thompson) Harlan. She was the last surviving 1928 graduate of the town school of the Jacob Tome Institute in Port Deposit. Before her marriage, she was employed at the Aberdeen Proving Ground and had resided in Aberdeen since 1937. She is survived by her son, Jon Harlan Livezey, and his wife, Mary-lynne, of Aberdeen, and some devoted friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Morton A. Einwachter; and her sister, Ethel Harlan Blackburn. Her last months were enriched by the loving care provided by the staff of The Caring Connection, most especially by Jane Nyoro, who was her week-day attendant. The help of the Harford Hospice during her final weeks is deeply appreciated. Services will be at Grove Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen, where she had been a member over 60 years, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, with interment in Baker Cemetery. Pallbearers are to be Barton S. Nagle, Andrew L. Nagle, Peter L. Clarke, Charles O. Spang Jr., and William P. Pfingsten. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. preceding the services.
