Obituary

Sherry Lynn Coldiron, 69, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home, surrounded by family & love, on Feb. 25, 2024.

Born in Havre de Grace, on Feb. 2, 1955, Sherry was the daughter of the late William & Florence (Smith) Hodges. She shared 51 years of marriage with her husband, Terry Coldiron, before his passing in June of 2023.

Sherry loved caring for her family & her home. Her gardens were always full of beautiful flowers, especially petunias, plus lots of gnomes & fairies. Her annual Mother's Day flower shopping trip with her daughter was something special that they both looked forward to. One of her favorite things to do regularly was to walk the Havre de Grace promenade with her dear friend, Robin. Sherry had a very youthful spirit & for many years, spent countless girl's weekends enjoying the sun & fun in Ocean City. She was incredibly supportive of her daughter, helping with every craft show she entered or house project that she came up with.

Sherry was given the nickname of "Sherman" when a close family friend, at a young age, called her that out of the blue & it just stuck! She was such a quiet, gentle, sweet, loving & funny lady who will be so very missed by her close family & friends.

Surviving to forever cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Danielle Thompson & her significant other Steve Houser; grandchildren Jamie & Joseph Houser; great granddaughter Rylie Houser; sisters Karen Williams, Vivian Hamilton & Joy Hodges.

A celebration of Sherry's life will be held in late Spring. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Kaufman Cancer Center in Bel Air, MD.
