Linwood Johnson

Linwood "Barney" Johnson of Aberdeen died June 11 at Citizens Care Center. He was 99. Born in Harford County he was the son of the late John H. and Jenny (Preston) Johnson. Mr. Johnson retired from Aberdeen Proving Ground as a security guard and served in the US Army during WWII. He was a life member of both the VFW Post 5337 in Abingdon and the American Legion Post 128 in Aberdeen. He is survived by a daughter Sarah M. Simons of Havre de Grace; four grandchildren, Bobby Baldwin of Clearwater, FL, Kathy Simons of BelAir, Billy Baldwin of VA, Deborah Twele of Parkville; four great grandchildren, and sister-in-law and friend Evelyn Kleinsorgen of Aberdeen. Family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A.of Aberdeen on Monday, June 15 from 10 A.M. To 12 P.M. A funeral service officiated by Rev.
