Elizabeth G. Dowden, age 63 of Belvedere, S.C. formerly of Aberdeen, peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2009 in Augusta, GA. Beloved wife of Charles E. Dowden of Belvedere S.C. formerly of Aberdeen. She was born in Caruthersville, MO. to the late Henry and Irene Glowner. Devoted mother of Christopher Deane of S.C. Loving step-mother of Gregory Dowden and wife Angie of FL, Christine Britt of LA, Regina Boyle and husband Joseph of S.C. and Sabrina Vilgos and husband Thomas of PA. Caring sister of Eva Bailey and husband Bill of TX, Alice Glowner of MO, and the late Jackie Glowner. Elizabeth served her country in the Army for over 22 years and truly loved military life. The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. of Aberdeen, on Thursday, June 25 from 4 to 8 P.M. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Gerald Brown will be offered on Friday, June 26 at 11 A.M. followed by interment in Harford Memorial Gardens.
