Aunt Charlotte was the one who first sparked my interest in my mother's family tree. That was more than 15 years ago. I'm still working on the family book and I am obsessed with it. I listened to her stories and she shared her old pictures with me. She gave me so much information for reference. I have so much I wanted to show her but never had the opportunity. I have missed her all these years and will continue to miss her.

I think one of my earliest memories of Charlotte ( she, like Sally, never cared to be called "Aunt") was her washing me up, and rather briskly I might add, in the kitchen sink after a day of summer play at Grandma's. I also remember the day she and I walked across the street to Uncle Bobby's to pick tomatos. With salt shaker in hand, must we ate as many tomatos as we picked. By the days end I was sick as a dog from eating too many tomatos. It was years and years before I could eat another tomato. I also remember the huge boxes of homemade cookies she and Grandma made and mailed to her ten nieces and nephews in New York. I hope she knows how much we all loved her. It saddens me that my last memory of seeing her was nine years ago in my mothers living room. I loved her dearly and always will. Susan
