Please know our hearts and prayers are with you and your family. I fully understand the grief as well as the sense of peace that you are feeling. You had the luxury of being with your Dad as he left and was called home. I am certain that any fears he may have had about the unknown were greatly relieved by your reassurances. He is no longer living in a world of confusion and turmoil, he is Home. I will never again be able to raise a glass of wine without thinking of your Dad or mine. The world was a much better place because your father was allowed to live here. He now truly Lives.

Please accept our condolences on the death of Charles G. Hiob, Jr. I met and worked with Charlie as a volunteer at Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union in 1986. Being a new volunteer, Charlie taught me a lot about credit union operations and never failed to answer the dozens of questions I had. We were honored to be invited to one of his wine making parties at the farm. It was a day my wife and I will never forget. A beautiful sunny day, with lots of his friends, and Charlie guiding us all in the tasks he wanted us to help him with while making grapes into wine. At credit union Christmas parties, Charles always asked my wife Margie to dance. They both enjoyed it immensely. Charlie will be missed for his quick wit, winning smile, and colorful blazers. He was a good friend, a firm credit unionist and a great credit to the Community of Havre de Grace and Harford County.

Charles always brought a smile to my face when I passed by his room at Citizens Care Center. His big smile and charming personality always made my day. He was so proud of his puzzles. May he rest in peace.
