David Charles Caplinger

David C. Caplinger, US Army, CSM (Ret'd), age 60 of Aberdeen died Friday, April 16, 2010 in Pittsburgh, PA. Beloved wife of Chong S. Caplinger of Aberdeen. Born in New Brighton, PA to Norma Caplinger of Rockchester, PA and the late Theodore Caplinger, Sr. Cherished father of Il Song Song and his wife Mi Hee of PA, Il Hui Kim and her husband Dong Soo of Potomac, MD and Crystal Caplinger of Aberdeen. Loving grandfather of Sylvia Song, Julia Song, Eunice Kim and Dennis Kim. Dear brother of Naomi Helbig of Freedom, PA and the late Theodore Caplinger, Jr. He served his country in the US Army for 24 years achieving the rank of Command Sergeant Major. David enjoyed building model cars, attending car shows, loved automobiles especially Corvettes and purchased one last October. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene in New Brighton, PA and last worked for Abacus Security in Baltimore. The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral, P.A. of Aberdeen on Sunday, April 25 from 2-6pm. A funeral service officiated by Donald W. MacNeil, Pastor will begin at 4pm. Visitation will continue at the conclusion of the service.
