Phyllis Jean Cox, age 55 of Aberdeen died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at home. Beloved wife of Dennis Ray Cox for 39 years. Loving daughter of Jewell Hope Haney Stover and the late George Edwin Norman. Dear mother of Michael Cox and partner Shelly Grant of Aberdeen, Geneese Cox and partner Robert Sellers of Petersburg, VA, and Ashley Cox and partner Robert Hall of Aberdeen. Sister of Gary Norman of Edgewood and Glenda Bowling and husband Kevin of Daniels, WVA. Grandmother of Michael Cox, Jr., Merissa Cox, Trenton Cox and Robert and Casandra Sellers. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and special friend Rick Laye. Phyllis loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.
The family will receive friends in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. of Aberdeen on Friday, August 20 from 11am to 1pm at which time a funeral service officiated by Rev. Gerald T. Brown will begin. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.

I miss u so much, u was the strongest, person I know, didn't know it was going to be so hard without u, I guess that's y you always depended on me to do right. Cause I do it all now ,U was the one who kept this family together, well without u, I would not be strong enough to raise the crazy grandkids of your, who misses u like crazy too. WE LOVE U SO DEARLY hope u r watching over us.
