Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Francis “Frank” Majewski on July 17,

2024 at the age of 87. Frank was born on March 28, 1937, in Passaic, New Jersey to Xavier

Majewski and Josephine Gorski. For the past forty-five years, Frank lived in Havre de Grace,

Maryland, a town that he brought him great happiness and a place he called home.

Frank was an incredibly hardworking man who spent most of his life dedicated to the military.

He was an active duty officer in the Army for fifteen years and then continued his military career

as both a civilian and an officer in the National Guards, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Frank was a man of great curiosity–– fly fishing, astronomy, coin collecting, animals of all types,

violins, guitars, classical music, nutrition, and roses. Frank’s greatest passion was his books.

His hunger for knowledge was driven by the thousands of titles, primarily non-fiction, that filled

his home.

While Frank’s work and passions were important parts of his life, it was his generous heart that

defined the man he was. Frank was always ready to help a family member, friend, and even a

stranger in times of need.

Frank is survived by his siblings (Maryjo, Lori, John, and Ed), his children (Ed, Gina and

Jennifer), his stepchildren (Greg, Jessica, Karen, and Max) and his grandchildren (Kai, Paulina,

Kate, Jack, Cole, Emma, and Joseph). Frank was preceded in death by his sister Elaine.

While our hearts mourn the loss of Frank, we take comfort in knowing that he is no longer

suffering and is rejoicing in heaven with the Lord.
