My condolences to Herta's family. I knew Herta through the gift shop where my mother and Aunt also volunteered for a long time. When my father was in the hospital for 38 days, she was in that gift shop almost everyone of those days, and I would go down for awhile and talk with her. I thought the world of her. We visited her in February 2009 and i took her around in a wheelchair while she showed my mother and myself all the different rooms. It was a lovely Place for a lovely woman. I will indeed miss her.

Herta was our leader of the Sally Rienke Circle of Grace United Methodist Church for many years. She was such a giving person and always generously supported the Board of Child Care and other missions. She enjoyed taking us out to lunch at the Bayou and even had us up to Avondell for lunch several times. She often had a joke to tell us before we started the meeting. She was a great person and we will miss her.

I was deeply sadden to hear about Aunt Herta's passing. She was the wife of my father's younger brother, Robert. Aunt Herta was a wonderful, loving person and we shall miss her. May she rest in peace. Fondly, Ann & Bill

Oma was my only Grandparent I ever had, easily the best Grandmother in the world. I was her only Granddaughter, so she expected big things from me. She would always look at me in the eyes and say, "Make me proud." Oma, I promise everyday of my life I will make you proud. You will be truly missed, especially by me. I love you Oma.
