Whitney Claire Blackmer

Eric, Keith and families, Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I've known Claire since 1968 when we were fellow teachers at Bakerfield School. We had many happy times together at school and since our retirements. I will surely miss her and the good times we had together. She was a special friend. Sincerely, Pat Brooks

Dear Eric and Keith, I got a chance to really meet your mom several years ago when we were seated across from each other at a dinner theater. She was really fun to share a meal with. I would see her from time to time over the years and liked her energy. The one time she told me about going to New England and spending eight days with a couple girlfriends on a cargo ship so they could go whale watching. The amenities were sparse, including no showers for the eight days. She loved it. What an amazing person your mom was. I am sorry for her loss and extend my sympathy to your whole family.
