Carol Jean Walker Ritchey

Carol Jean Walker Ritchey fought a long and difficult battle with cancer. Carol went home to be with her parents, brothers and sister and our Lord. Carol was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland to Mattie and Robert Breece Walker. Carol had two brothers, Ray and David Walker and two sisters Wanda Ward and Cathy Jean Walker Keys. Carol and Robert Lee Ritchey, the love of her life, were married December 11, 1989. They had twenty-two wonderful years together. Carol was very devoted to helping her fellow man and always saw the good in everyone. Carol touched many hearts along her journey battling breast cancer, for eleven years. Carol is survived by her husband Robert Lee Ritchey, a son, Rick E. Cronkrite, his wife, Stephanie, three grand children, Julie Anne, Cole and Drew of Forney, Texas; sister, Cathy Walker Keys and Bill Smith of Toccoa, Georgia; sister-in-law, Beverly Walker of Aberdeen, Maryland, uncles and aunts, Jim and Kathy Billings of Eunice, North Carolina; John and Jerri Walker of Aberdeen, Maryland; Maria Bailey of Venice, Florida; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Memorials may be sent to Waccamaw Oncology and the Breast Health Center at Waccamaw Medical Park, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Relatives and friends will be received at a special service for Carol at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, 333 South Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland on Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 2pm.
