Thelma Gayle Dickerson

Thelma Gayle Stout Dickerson age 83 of Pt. Deposit (formerly of Aberdeen) passed away peacefully Saturday, March 19, 2011 surrounded by her family. Born in Eckman, West Virginia to the late Earl and Vergie Roe; beloved wife of the late Dewey Stout and the late Ernest Dickerson; loving mother of David Stout and wife Judith of Aberdeen and the late Rita Smith; dear sister of Carol Leftridge of Churchville, Betty Walter of Churchville and the late James Roe and Margie Criss. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She loved her Lord and Savior, enjoyed bowling, playing basketball, flowers and singing in church. She had been a Sunday School teacher for many years at Antioch and Carsins Run Baptist Churches. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 22 from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. of Aberdeen and on Wednesday, March 23, from 10-11am in Pleasant View Baptist Church, 150 Downin Lane, Pt. Deposit, MD 21904. A funeral service will begin in the church at the conclusion of the visitation at 11am. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
