Richard Charles Stone

Richard Charles Stone of Aberdeen died Monday, March 21 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 79. Born in Jamestown, NY he was the son of the late Clifford P. and Rosa E. Stone. Mr. Stone retired from the US Army having served two tours each in Korea and Vietnam. He had played for several years for the Harford County Senior Softball League. Mr. Stone is survived by his sons, Richard C. Stone of Aberdeen, Mitchell C. Stone of Conowingo, Erick C. Stone of Aberdeen, Christopher D. Stone of Silver Spring, and twins Raymond P. Stone of Ramstein, Germany and Robert J. Stone of Bel Air; daughters Victoria Ann Ragar of Aberdeen, Kelley K. Criss of Havre de Grace, Amy M. Riggleman of Perryman, and Rosa Stone of Ohio; his twin brother Robert W. Stone of Aberdeen and his brother Raymond L. Stone of Chardon, OH he is also survived by several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A memorial service conducted by Rev. Kenneth Tipton will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Thursday, March 24 at 6pm with a visitation to follow until 8pm.
