Dad, Through tears and sadness, there is relief that you are no longer suffering. I owe much of my strength of character, determination, sense of humor, and love of garden fresh tomatoes to you. You were always there for me for through the good and the tough times, steadfast, offering assistance and backing me 100% percent. If I tried to put limits on myself, you encouraged me to reach beyond my reservations with a simple, "Well, why not"? To this day, I query myself this way when I am weighing a decision of consequence. For all your strength and tough exterior there was a gentle heart that shared a few tears and understood what truly mattered, family. Your devotion to Mom is evident in the way you looked out for her, your trips to the florist and simple gestures like pancake breakfasts for two. We, the children, will look out for her now. To you Dad, the "Grey Goose", thank you for all you have done and be at peace..."all is well, safely rest, God is near". Love, Trish
