Dear Darland Family, I am sorry to learn of your father's passing. I remember him when I used to come up to your house for snow cones. Always very nice to me. In later years, I remember him giving me a pamphlet about the U.S. currency that contained his thoughts about the U.S. Treasury. Always very nice to me and he had me consider other points of view. Good man! Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I worked with Lloyd many, many years ago when we both were selling real estate in Aberdeen (and all of Harford County). I am glad to have known him, he was a very gentle person. My sympathy to his chidren, grandchildren and wife - I lost my husband almost four years ago so I know what you are feeling now. May all your fond memories , and all your dear friends and family, give you comfort during this difficult period.

Though I did not personally know Mr. Darland, I believe he was a true patriot, like those who helped in the founding of our great nation. I am trying to locate a copy of his book."The Emperor's Clothes Cost Twenty Dollars." I salute this the life of this great American! God bless his family.

Mr. Darland opened my eyes to the real world as an economics profedssor. His simple explanations of the currency system wasa real eye opener. He was a true patriot and a dear friend. My condolances to the family.
