I will always cherish the fond childhood memories that I have of your father coming down in the evenings to sit with my father Frank on Balfern Ave. at the kitchen table for hours talking and laughing about anything and everything and especially waiting to watch the back to back episodes of "Benny Hill" at 11:00pm and 11:30 pm . I send my deepest sympathy to the Lechert Family Love, Sherry

I have so many fond memories of spending time with Uncle Joe in my youth. He loved to go crabbing and I had fun on these day trips to the shore. Uncle Joe was such a happy person. We so enjoyed seeing Uncle Joe at his sister's birthday party in 2010. What a great family he has. Erica and I regret that we cannot say good-bye in person, but hope that all can find solace in Uncle Joe's loss through many great memories. Uncle Joe, may you rest in peace. Love, Bob and Erica

Hi Unc. Not many have the special treat to have an uncle less than a year older than thay are.But I did. Such pleasant memories of sum-mers at Green Haven, helping stock shelves at your fathers grocery store on Potomac St. Every time I watch JEAPORDY I will be thinking of you. Who would have thought that your sister, Estella, my mother, now 101 years old, would live longer than you. God bless you, Junior. I love you, Joe. Early Rush
