Claudia Mae Hastings

Claudia Mae Hastings of Aberdeen died Sunday, October 9 at her home. She was 73. Born in Candor, NY she was the daughter of Minnie Van Etten of Candor, NY and the late Harold B. Van Etten. Mrs. Hastings was a realtor for Long and Foster in BelAir, she was owner of CMH Transport and was the former owner of the Southern Skillet restaurant. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Stephen W. Hastings; sons, Robert Jeffrey Lind of Bel Air and Gregory Dirk Lind of Perryville, daughters Kathy Mae Collier of Aberdeen, Joan Marie Lind of Havre de Grace, and Keri Jo Bugher of Perryman; brother, Harold "Butch" Van Etten of Candor, NY; sister, Delores Schoneman of Candor, NY; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren, and her two dogs Cooper and Audi. In addition to her father she was predeceased by her sister Carole Herbert. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12 from 6-9pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P. A. where funeral services conducted by Rev. Lauretta H. Halstead will be held on Thursday at 10:00am. Interment will be in Baker Cemetery.
