William Anothony Nori, Sr.

William Anthony Nori, Sr. of Havre de Grace died Friday, November 11, at Citizens Care Center. He was 88. Born in Havre de Grace he was the son of the late Alfred and Delores (DiAnuntis). Mr. Nori was the owner of Nori's Amoco which was located on Route 40 in Havre de Grace, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Church of Saint Patrick Catholic Church. An avid gardener he could make anything grow, he especially loved his vegetable garden and finding treasures with his metal detector. He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Margaret B. (Hanks) Nori; daughters, Priscilla Forsythe and her husband Donald of Havre de Grace, Cheryl Roberta and husband Albert of Broomall, PA, Mary Jane Ruiz and husband Arthur, Virginia Lee Pettiford and husband Tetsuo, and Toni Marie "Tina" Sheppard and husband Malcolm all of San Diego, CA; son, Robert Nori of Havre de Grace; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Whitney and Carrie Puleo both of Havre de Grace and daughter -in-law, Laura Nori of Burgoyne, FL. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son William A. Nori, Jr. and brothers, Joseph and Patrick Nori. A Mass of Christian Burial conducted by Father William J. O'Brien, III was held on Tuesday, November 15 at 10:00am at The Church of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment was in Mt. Erin Cemetery.
