Obituary
William F. White, also known as "Bow Tie Bill" of Aberdeen passed away in his daughters home in Havre de Grace on Monday, November 7, 2011. He was the son of the late Ida (nee Tayson) and Roland White. His beloved wife Margaret Lee White predeceased him. He left behind his two daughters Mary Lee White of Havre De Grace and Linda Gibbons of Baltimore as well
as his only grandchild Jenny Lee Donaldson and her husband Thomas Donaldson, III. He also left behind many friends and family members His one brother Edward Roland White predeceased him leaving behind his beloved brother Philip Samuel White, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bill, known to his family and friends, was very active in Harford County. He and his wife were
co-founders of Harford (Holy) family House. He was active in Community Action, protesting the Federal
Government for a handicap ramp at the Aberdeen Post Office. He worked quietly within the community of the homeless and drug afflicted. He received numerous awards for the time he gave to Harford County and with his beloved wife a receipt ant of Maryland's Most Beautiful People. He lived his life devoting his time to the care and well-being of the people of Harford County.
Within the Episcopal Church he was known as the "Roaming Episcopalian". His base church for fifty years was Holy Trinity in Churchville but loved visiting all churches within the Diocese of Maryland. He was involved with the Maryland Episcopal Curisillo Movement. He made his dream come true by serving on Team number one and Team number one hundred. He was always involved in the Harford Regional Council and many activities within the Church he so loved.
Within his life he brought many people out of darkness into the Light and Joy of Christ. He touched thousands of lives in his lifetime by living a life of example for others to see. He always saw the good in a person and tried to bring the good out in each person he came in contact with by showing each person it only took believing in themselves to turn their life around. After the death of his beloved wife, he spent many good and bad days throughout the year's
recuperating in his daughter's home. He considered Mary's house his nursing home.
Throughout his many determined battles with cancer, he once again set an example for others. He noticed
people had no family support or family so he began dressing up each day in a different custom
and had a very positive outlook on his treatments and faith that he would overcome the many cancers
he had. Those in treatment with him looked forward to seeing what costume he would be dressing in that day. He brought much joy to a very depressing place. Bill lost his life to colon rectal cancer. A cancer all persons should be checked for, by the time they found his it was too late for treatment and asked I make sure people are aware of this very deadly cancer.
Bill retired from Corbin Fuel Company in 1980. Before working for Corbin Fuel he was employed by C. Curtis Morgan and B.P. Oil Company. He worked many side jobs to provide for his family once again setting an example of a strong work ethic for his family to follow. Throughout his life Bill always put family and friends before his own

Bill was a faithful board member and friend to Harford Community Action Agency for many years. We will especially miss his heartfelt prayers that opened our board meetings, his always cheerful demeanor and his insightful input into our discussions. May his memory always be for a blessing.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Bill's passing, but I am comforted by the memories of our times together when I worked for the Dept of Community Services. Bill visited me often and always brought a smile to my face with his many bowties. I was very proud to see Bill and Margaret honored as both Harford County's and Maryland's Most Beautiful People, as they were just that. Bill was brave, kind and a stellar human being. We are all better for having been one of his many friends.
