Dear Don and Family, We were saddened to learn of Helen's passing but gladdened to know that she is resting in a better place. We think fondly of the short visit with you last Spring at your Florida home and felt the concern that you both had for her failing health. We will miss her contagious smile and pleasing voice at the next Eigenbrode reunion.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Hildenbrand was my favorite teacher ever. I had her in sixth grade and remember her disciplining me when I looked at some explicit playing cards that the boys were passing around. She told me that I could show dignity by being "above such trash." That was a lesson that has stuck with me for 44 years. She was a gem.
