Obituary
Edna Arine Ashford (nee Yates), age 82 of Caribou, ME and Aberdeen, MD died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Caribou Rehab and Nursing after a long illness. Daughter of the late James and Maggie Yates; wife of the late John J. Ashford and Kenneth Blevins; mother of Audrey M. Briggs of Jamestown, NY; grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by sisters, Virginia Yates and Lucy Fortner of NC; brothers, Marvin Yates of MI, and Richard Yates of VA and will be sadly missed by close friends Donna Slevin and Lundy DeGrange.
Edna retired in 1987 from Bata Shoe Co. after many years of service.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 20 at 1 pm in Baker Cemetery of Aberdeen.
