Obituary
Marion Elizabeth von Gunten Wright, age 81, beloved wife of Jay Freeman Wright for 56 years, passed away on April 6, at her home in Aberdeen, MD.
She was much loved by her children, Martha Jayne Wright and husband Henry Menke, Jay F. Wright, Jr., and R. Webster Wright and fiancé Mary Martin.
She dearly loved spending time with her wonderful grandchildren, Robert W. Wright, Jr., Alice C. Menke, and Grant Martin Wright, except on Wednesday afternoons, when her weekly bridge game was scheduled.
A graduate of Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1951, she served as a Meals on Wheels volunteer for 30 years, and was a parishioner at Grace United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her parents, Carl von Gunten and Bessie M. von Gunten, and her dear brother Carl (Bud) von Gunten. She is survived by three beloved sisters, Marie Vernon, Edith May (Kitty) Oursler, Esther June Maring, and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, viewings at 1-3 Monday, and 10-11:30 Tuesday, funeral immediately following.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mrs. Wright's passing. I worked with Mrs. Wright as her accountant for more than 25 years.
