Thomas Henry Fields III, 68 passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026 in Parkville, Maryland. He was born on June 4, 1958 in Havre de Grace to Thomas Fields II and Pearl Hicks. Thomas is survived by his wife of 42 years, Frances Taylor Fields, his children, Crystal Washington and Sara Hess, grandchildren Elijah Fields, Gavin Hess and Fallyn Hess and his siblings Beverly Fields, Teresa Fields, Dorothy Morson, Edward Fields and Christopher Ransom.
Thomas graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1976. He attended Harford Community College for two years, where he earned an Associate Degree in Political Science. He then continued his education at Morgan State University and later attended MBCS Bible College
Thomas worked for Schmidt Bakery in route sales.
Thomas was deeply devoted to his Christian faith and sharing the Gospel. He was associated with Redeemed in Christ Church in Rockville, Maryland, and Greater Grace World Outreach in Baltimore, Maryland. Soul winning was an important part of his life, and he spent a great deal of time reaching others and sharing his faith.
He was also well known for the phrase “Praise Him in This Place.”
Thomas loved cycling, basketball, working out at the gym, and football. He was a Washington Redskins fan and enjoyed jazz, Christian music, and gospel music,
His faith, family, ministry, and reaching others for Christ were central to his life.
The Fields Family will receive family and friends at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A., 333 South Parke Street, Aberdeen, Maryland on Saturday, September 12 from 11 AM to 12 noon when his funeral services will begin. Interment is in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington immediately after the service.
