Mary Armstrong

Mary Y. Armstrong of Aberdeen died Thursday, December 13 at Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 86. Born in Elkton, MD she was the daughter of the late Evaristo & Elisa Trincia Bucchi and the wife of the late George R. Armstrong who died in 1980. Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker who loved to play bingo and slot machines. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the Aberdeen American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons, Robert D. Armstrong of Spring Hill, FL, James W. Armstrong of Brooksville, FL, and Thomas E. Armstrong of Weechi Wachee, FL; daughters, Barbara A. Mortus of Aberdeen and Mary E. Satterfield of Dover, DE; sister, Janie Marini of Havre de Grace, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Bucchi and her sister, Emelia Bucchi. Visitation will be held at 11:00am, and a memorial service will be at 12:00pm with refreshments following on Wednesday, December 19 at the Church at Riverside, 5 Church Creek Road in Belcamp. The interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Lioness Lions Club, PO Box 516, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
