Robert Edwards Harrover

Robert E. Harrover, age 84 on December 21, 2012. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Robert and Virgie Ellen Harrover. The beloved husband of Shirley Harrover of Havre de Grace; loving father of Amy White and husband Greg of Churchville and Laurie Deaton of Nashville, TN; dear brother of Mary Zigarovich of Trafford, PA, Al Harrover of Gold Canyon, AZ, Doug Harrover of Jacksonville, FL and the late Jane Ann Dillon; cherished grandfather of Jessica and Kylie White. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert graduated with a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering in 1962 from Carnegie-Mellon University Formerly Carnegie Institute of Technology). He was a Metallurgical Engineer and manager at Westinghouse for over 46 years where he held 11 patents. Robert was a Golden Eagle member of the NRA, and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was very active at past churches serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and member of the Church Board. Family will receive friends in the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, 333 S. Parke St, Aberdeen, on Thursday, December 27 from 4-6pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28 at 11am in Oak Grove Baptist Church, 2106 Churchville Rd, Bel Air.
