Anna Marie Welsh

Anna Marie Welsh passed away peacefully in her sleep with her family by her side on Saturday, March 2 at her home in Belcamp, MD. She was 93. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late James F. and Mary Ellen (Gallagher) McDermott and wife of the late Joseph P. Welsh. She was a homemaker and had lived many years in Delaware County, PA before retiring to Maryland. She is survived by her sons, James F. Welsh and wife Marie of Key West, FL and Thomas F. Welsh of Shallotte, NC; daughters, Anne Welsh of Belcamp and Patricia A. Brooks and husband John of Shallotte, NC; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and her daughters-in-law Mary Rogers and Holly Welsh. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sons Joseph P. Welsh, Jr. and Robert F. Welsh; brother, James F. McDermott, and grandchildren, Duane Welsh and Kim Owens. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 9-11am at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian will begin at 11:30am on Saturday, March 9 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
