DEAR NINONG, You are gone but the impact of your presence in my life will linger forever. Even if you were living abroad when I was growing up you guided me with your letters. You inspired me to be ambitious and achieve my goals. I did and you were so happy that I followed you in the US. Our contact continues through the years. Our long conversations were priceless. You always reminded me to look back to my roots. Your childhood memories with my father, my one on one talks with Ingkong Fider( your Dad) in the ricefields, your opinions about matters I consulted with you, your happy years with Elsa and Martin and their kids, the pictures and Christmas cards you sent me, our reunion in San Francisco. I built a memory album of all these in my Kindle. I treasured our long conversation two days before your passing. I am so happy that you becomce part of life. I will miss you but will always be inspired by your wits and intelligence. Love, Jay
