Obituary
Fredrick William "Bill" Siebert, Jr. passed away at his home in Aberdeen, Maryland on September 19, 2013 at the age of 91. Bill was married for 55 years to the late Joanna Morris Siebert, and raised his children, Helen Germeroth and the late Charles Curtis Siebert, in their home on Gilbert Road.
Bill was born on November 2, 1921 and lived his entire life in Aberdeen, Maryland. He attended the Jefferson school through the eighth grade, when he began working with his father on their farm on Gilbert Road. Bill was later employed for 35 years at Kunkel Service Company in Bel Air as a Purchasing Agent. Around the same time, he became a member of the Mt. Ararat Masonic Lodge No. 44 in Bel Air, MD. He enjoyed hosting parties at his home, flirting with the ladies, eating Maryland crabs, and visiting with friends.
During retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time with his wife and family at his beach house in Ocean City, Maryland and attending his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's athletic events. He also loved spending time with neighbors and family in his home in Aberdeen.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Helen Germeroth of Bel Air, and his four grandchildren: Kyla Germeroth Horseman and her husband Walt Horseman of Churchville, Katrina Siebert of Delaware, Megan McNealy of Philadelphia, PA, and Stacy Siebert of Delaware. He was also the loving great-grandfather of Brittney Horseman, Ryan Horseman, Isabelle McNealy, and Jiy'her Siebert. Bill is also survived by his good friends, Ed LeBlanc, Mitch Goss, and Bobby Ringgold, all of Aberdeen.
Known affectionately as "Pop Pop" by family and friends, he was a great story teller and was very knowledgeable on the history of Harford County. Bill will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 23 at 11 AM at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. in Aberdeen, Maryland, followed by interment at Calvary Methodist Church. Visitation for family and friends was held on Sunday, September 22 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Contributions in Bill's name can be made to Calvary Methodist Church.

Mr. Bill, There are no words to describe how sad Ed and I are. I wanted you to be with us for many more years. You taught us so much and meant so very much to everyone in our family. Even Nolan (age 4) told his mom last night that he was sorry you had to go to heaven. Tyler (age 7) just cried. We are so blessed to have known you and honored with your company. We loved listening to all of your stories and it is truly a great honor to live in the house you grew up in. I know JoAnn and Curtis are waiting with open arms to receive you when Jesus welcomes you into everlasting peace. God Bless you my friend. I know there are so many that are grieving at this time. You will always be a cherished presence in my heart and a precious memory in my mind. Love, Donna LeBlanc

I was deeply saddened to hear that Mr. Bill had passed away. He was a regular customer at the Aberdeen Shoprite, where I met him years ago while at work. He was the sweetest man I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and becoming friends with. He will be missed at Shoprite. RIP Mr. Bill, until we meet again.
