Patricia Ann Tenly

Patricia "Pat" Ann Borrell Tenly of Havre de Grace died peacefully on January 17, 2014, surrounded by her five loving daughters, after fiercely battling cancer. She was 80 years old. Patricia Tenly was born and raised in Baltimore City; moving to Havre de Grace after marrying William Tenly. First and foremost she was a loving wife and mother, devoted to her husband and daughters. A lifelong member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, she served as a religious education teacher, on the parish council, with Grace Place, and in other various volunteer capacities. Pat worked as a bank teller before starting her family, and again when her youngest entered high school. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, William Y. Tenly, and her brothers Richard and Michael Borrell. She is survived by her five daughters: Kristina M. Pinckney of Bel Air, MD, Beth A. Nakatsu of Sammamish, WA, Tricia C. Szymanski of Wilmington, DE, Erin E. Comen of Phoenix, MD, Kelly M. Rogers of Hereford, MD; her grandchildren, Lauren and Will Pinckney, Tenly and Nick DeMuro and Ian Nakatsu, Caitlin Van Gilder, Molly and Liam Comen, Josh and Abby Rogers; her sister-in-law, M. Adalee "Bunk" Cosenza of Churchville, MD, and brother-in-law, G. David "Bud" Tenly of Aberdeen, MD, and her dearest cousin, Nancy Borrell Bates of Forest Hill, MD. Pallbearers were Derron Pinckney, Mark Nakatsu, Rich Szymanski, Jeff Comen, Ned Rogers, and David Cosenza. Services were Thursday, January 23, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father William J. O'Brien officiating. Interment was at Mt. Erin Cemetery in Havre de Grace.
