Billie H. Hall

Billie Hazeltine Jenkins Hall, 83, passed away January 18, 2014 after a five year battle with cancer. She was born in Mouth of Wilson, VA to the late Everett J. Jenkins and Lena Elizabeth Halsey Jenkins. She is survived by her children: Jim Hall and companion Pat Johnson of Aberdeen, Shirley Hall Lucas and husband Tom of Bel Air, Bob Hall and wife Chari of Havre de Grace and Roger Hall and wife Nancy of Aberdeen; her grandchildren: Julie Lorenzo and husband Mike if Abingdon, Ian Hall and wife Jackie of New York, NY, April Roberts of Conowingo and Sarah Hall of Abingdon; her great-grandchildren, Brandon Callender, Austin Roberts and Kiley Roberts; her sister, Maxine Graybeal of Christiansburg, VA; sisters-in-law Lee Jenkins of Ellicott City, Minerva Thompson of Perryman, Joy Hall of Joppa, Georgia Henderson, Myrtle Hall and Ann Hall of VA; brothers-in-law Charles Hall and wife Jean of Madison, IL and Jim Sawyer of VA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was predeceased by her husband James, her brothers E.J. and Ronald Jenkins and her sister, Evon Jenkins Cook. Billie grew up in North Carolina and worked on the family farm. She played basketball for her high school team. After high school graduation, she traveled to Maryland to find work where she also met and married her husband James. She worked at Bata Shoe and for Mitchell's Corn cannery until her children were born when she became a full time homemaker, occasionally working at the corn cannery. Billie enjoyed gardening, reading and visiting friends and relatives. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22 from 5-8pm in the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, PA, 333 S. Parke St, Aberdeen where a funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23 at 11am. Interment will follow in Harford Memorial Gardens.
