Mr. Enteline, I am so sad yet I am so grateful. To have had Mrs. Enterline in my life not only as a child but as an adult too was a true blessing. She taught me to read and to write. She also taught me to live life to the fullest. I know many people that have had their lives affected by her kindness, caring, and passion to teach. I will miss her very much but I will cherish the memories she left me with. You were her hero and her Prince of a Man. After seeing you with her close up for the last year, you became my hero as well.

Dwight, I'm so sorry to hear about Carolyn. I know she will be missed. I remember her happy and friendly personality, and hosting the after Christmas concert parties. Even as a stranger she made feel welcome, as if we knew each other for years. You shared many happy times with her and it may be hard at times not to have her their with you. I wish you well. Carolyn Sue made our world a happier place. One memory that she and I often shared was our mutual memory of holiday dinners around our grandparents' (Leitner's) dining room table. It was surrounded with delicious food, many, many smiles and lots of laughter. Often grandma would play a hymn or two but not until we had cleared the table and washed and dried all the dishes. It was fun in the kitchen too. We also had fun together listening to Elvis' Jailhouse Rock after a sleepover. It may have been more fun since I don't think we were supposed to be listening to it. Carolyn Sue was also such a gentle, warm and caring person with a sense of humor that could surprise you.

So sorry for your loss. Many afternoons I spent playing at her house with Suzy when we were younger. So sad that our generation is now saying good bye to our parents.

My dear Suzi, we were all a little bit in love with your mom. She was full of beauty and joy and love for all of her students and it just radiated. I'm thinking of you: remembering when 'Mrs. Enterline' made my first grade year magical; remembering when I babysat so often for you, the miracle in your folks' lives; remembering the foursome of Dwight and Carolyn, Jim and Babs, with leisure suits and palazzo pants and fondue; remembering how very strong and brave and full of grace your mom always was...and knowing that she left us so full of love and admiration and pride for the woman you've become. You all are in my heart. Laura, with love
