Obituary
Sara "Sally" Cassandra Norris was born on June 18, 1940 in Havre de Grace, MD as the youngest daughter of the late Samuel Harvey Norris and Mabel Virginia Burkins Norris.
She is predeceased by a brother, Robert Osborn (Isabel) Norris of Churchville, MD and a sister, Charlotte (Floyd) Foss, formerly of Aberdeen, MD. She is survived by a sister, Anna Virginia Rapone of Pavilion NY,
Sally was the dearly loved aunt of 7 nieces and 5 nephews, 14 great nieces and nephews, 16 great great nieces and nephews and 1 great great-great niece. She is also survived by several first and distant cousins, most noted, Mary Caron Kozub and Victor Disbrow.
Sally spent her entire professional career at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, MD, starting in 1959 in the Central Service Division. She retired in 2004 as the long time Central Service Supervisor, during which time she remained consistently dedicated to the hospital, her duties and to her employees.
She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, its Pricilla Circle and in the past, the choir. In earlier years she enjoyed bowling and participated on leagues in the area.
She was a compassionate, generous woman; a kind person with a loving heart for every one she met. She loved to read, crocheting blankets for family and charity, animals, children and helping others.
Her family will fondly remember her many visits to New York to see her sister, nieces and nephews. Many of their happy childhood memories had Sally at the center of them.
She will be missed.

Sally and I were classmates and chums, all through the Aberdeen MD school system. My husband found that she and I are related (half 2nd Cousin twice removed). That made our bond even closer. Her sweet demeanor and smile endeared her to all. She is deeply missed. My condolences to her loving family.

Sally and I were classmates in Aberdeen elementary and high school. Our mothers were also friends. Sally was always so very sweet and kind to everyone. I always heard from her at Christmas time, although we saw each other only at our class reunions. May her family be blessed with their memories of Sally.

My sister, Sandy, and I played with Sally when we were very young. Her family lived 1/2 block from us on Rt. 40. Years later our paths would cross at Grace Methodist Church. She still had the same beautiful smile. I always knew we were related but only recently found out that we were cousins. Her Grandmother, Anna, and my Grandmother, Hazel, were sisters.

To my dearest Great Aunt, Since I was a little girl, I have had nothing but the fondest memories of you. From the notes and books you would send me, to seeing you when you would come to visit us in New York. I will always treasure those visits because each one of them were special to me. One of my fondest memories of you was when we went to the festival of lights in PA with my mom, grandma and Sally. It was so cold that night, but I remember that we made the best of it. We laughed and joked, and had such a great time looking at the beautiful lights and being merry. I will always treasure that time because it was a perfect night. You were always someone to look up to, an inspiration, a role model. You were never selfish, but the most kind hearted woman that anyone could ever meet. Know that you were loved and cherished here on earth, and will always be in our hearts. All my love, and until we meet again, Callista
