Obituary for Evelyn Karen Siegel

Evelyn Karen Siegel of Havre de Grace died Tuesday, May 7, at Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 80.
Born in Exeter, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Ondek) Piatnik.
A homemaker who retired with her husband to her daughter and son-in-law’s farm, Mrs. Siegel enjoyed cooking and gardening, but her greatest love was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wayne H. Siegel; children, Christine Zurkowski and her husband Paul of Havre de Grace, Eric Siegel and wife Dana of Aldie, VA, and Craig Siegel and wife Debra of Havre de Grace; grandchildren P. Christian, Coleman and Claire Zurkowski; Genevieve Mateer and husband Nathan, Evelyn Madison Tuohy and husband Mike, and Karly; Allison, Andrew and Evan Siegel; great grandson, Elliot Mateer; and her sisters Marcella Whalen and Marian Pizano.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church of Havre de Grace, 615 Congress Ave., Havre de Grace, MD 21078 on Saturday, May 25 at 9:15am. Interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens, 3839 Aldino Rd., Aberdeen, MD 21001.
