Obituary for Wylene DuBree

Wylene DuBree (nee Powers) died suddenly on January 17th, 2018 while vacationing in Statesville North Carolina; she was 76 years of age. She was the loving Mother of Mary K. Worthington and her Fiancée’ Herman N. Schweers Jr, Linda S. Gischel and her Husband Bill and W. Aubrey Worthington and his wife Jennie, all of Harford County. She was a fun and devoted Grandmother to Eric A. Moses and his wife Erin, Justin and Matthew Worthington and Brittany Gischel. She was blessed with two Great Granddaughters Kylie and Brooklyn whom she adored.
Wylene loved Bingo games, quarter auctions and trips to the local casino. She was an avid vegetable gardener and the family and friends that she shared them with eagerly awaited her tomatoes every summer. Always the caretaker, she made a point to be where she was needed to provide support and assistance to family, friends and neighbors. A lifelong resident of Harford County, Wylene loved fishing and other outdoor activities such as cookouts, sledding parties and campfires. A devoted Elvis fan; she loved many Genres of music including country, rock and gospel, there was always music playing in her home. She was a former member of the Level Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and Rock Run United Methodist Church.
Wylene was predeceased by her husband Robert DuBree, her parents, Mary Etta McGraw (nee Hurley) and Edwin W. Powers and a brother Ray Powers. She is also survived by her special and loving friend, William Hamm of North Carolina and her sister Evelyn Murray of Havre de Grace .
Services for Wylene will be at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday January 28th, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on January 29th, 2018 at 11:00 am with the Pastor Paul Simmons Officiating. Interment will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in her memory to the Rock Run United Methodist Church.
