Obituary for Robert Francis Killackey

Robert Francis Killackey of Aberdeen died Friday, October 13 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. He was 85.

Born in Yonkers, NY he was the son of the late Thomas & Mary (Gibbons) Killackey and husband of the late Maureen E. (Conway) Killackey , who died in 2016.

A U.S. Marine infantry veteran, Mr. Killackey was an executive for Consolidated Edison in New York; he was also a very active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

He is survived by his his brother Frank Killackey and wife Janet of Jackson, FL; daughters, Christianne DeMoro and husband Domenick of Framingham, MA, Mary Cooke of Bel Air, MD, Kathryn “Katie” Makar and husband Kevin of Holmes, NY and Lauren DeGiorgio and husband John of Visalia, CA; his son, Robert “Bob” Killackey Jr. and wife Marianne of Torrington, CT; and 12 grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by his siblings, Tom, Joe, Ed, his twin brother John, and Dorothy.

A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 17 from 3-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father William Franken at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:00am. Entombment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
