Obituary for Marjorie A. Brinegar

Marjorie A. Brinegar, age 84 of Aberdeen, MD passed peacefully away on February 26, 2018 at her home.
A native of Hartford, AL. Marjorie was born on September 19, 1933 to the late James Marsh and Beatrice (Burnett) Marsh. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by husband, Van Brinegar, daughter, Kathy M. Brinegar, and sibling, Gerald Marsh.
Left to mourn is her daughter, Karen Brinegar-Price and son-in-law David of Aberdeen. Siblings are Phyllis Peel and brother -in-law Larry of Malvern AL, and sister-in-law Wanda Burlot of Aberdeen.
As a young lady, Marjorie worked at the local "sweet shop" some miles from Ft. Rucker, AL a few Army buddies stopped by for a bite to eat, she waited on her future husband and together they came to Aberdeen to begin their new life.
Marjorie and Van began their careers at Aberdeen Proving Ground with the Federal Government. Marjorie worked at the post for 33 years, beginning as a clerk typist and advancing to Senior Budget Analyst (TECOM), as well as an Instructor for Test & Evaluation College. She also received her BS degree from the University of Maryland during this time. During her career Marjorie received several awards for her instruction and continued service to her country. Van built the home, she decorated the inside and together they raised two daughters. She was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen; she also was the Chairman Stewardship the church's financial committee, girls' missions and WMU at the church. She enjoyed reading, stocks and bonds investing, traveling and working in her home and yard with her love for flowers.
Marjorie was a loving grandmother to Matthew Sly (Kate) of Decatur, IL, Phallen, David II, and Jonathan Price, all of Aberdeen. Marjorie was also the great-grandmother to Darwyn and Ramona Sly of Decatur, IL and Price Hampton of Aberdeen.
Funeral Arrangements will take place on March 1, 2018 beginning at 10am for a viewing until 11am when funeral services will begin at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Immediately following the service, burial will take place at Bel Air Memorial Gardens Bel Air, MD. Karen Rice will officiate. Pallbearers are David Price, David Price II, Jonathan Price, and Joe Seipp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The MS society and Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
