Obituary for Marie Mitrovich

Marie Mitrovich passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 9 at her home in Edgewood at the age of 94.
Born April 20, 1924 in Roccasecca, Italy she was the daughter of the late Gaetano & Carmela Marrocco and wife of the late Sam K. Mitrovich. As a homemaker, Marie was known for her cooking and her gardening. Large elaborate Italian dinners for family and friends was what she loved best. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Havre de Grace and also attended St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Abingdon.
She is survived by her daughter, Olga Perkins and her late husband Cecil (Buddy) Perkins, Jr. of Edgewood; son, Leo B. Mitrovich and his wife Becky of Laytonville, CA; grandchildren, Tammy M. Richardson and husband Clark and Sam A. Mitrovich; great grandchildren, Kristina M. Mohr and husband Zach, Phillip L. Crouse, Jr., Noah M. Palmer, Alisha N. Richardson and Joshua H. Richardson; great great grandchildren, Olivia M. Cogswell, Sophia A. Schneider, Julian A. Mohr and Lilya M. Crouse and her siblings Tomassino, Benedetta and Fillipina. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas, Rocco and Concetta.
A visitation will be held at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Friday, September 14, from 10am-12pm where a funeral service will begin at 12:00pm. Interment will be in Mt. Erin Cemetery.
