Obituary for Dale R. Schantz

Dale Russell Schantz, age 58, of Aberdeen, MD passed away Monday, July 30, 2018.

Dale was the son of Louis C. and Betty L. Schantz of Aberdeen. He was a graduate of the John Archer School in 1984 and an advocate for The March of Dimes and the Ronald McDonald House. He enjoyed raising money and participating in local events. Dale was an avid gardener, woodworker, and was loved arts and crafts. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Mark Schantz of Aberdeen, MD. He is survived by his siblings, Linda and Rick Greathouse of Aberdeen, Charles Schantz of Havre de Grace, Julie and Jim Quimby of Havre de Grace, and Terry and Lori Schantz of Havre de Grace. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Monday, August 6, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Tarring Cargo Funeral Home, 333 S. Parke St., Aberdeen, MD. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Tarring Cargo Funeral Home with interment immediately following at Harford Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Harford Center or to the ARC – Northern Chesapeake Region.
